Merthyr hosted the 3rd annual Councillors’ Challenge Cup today!
We played 4 doubles matches (1-hr timed) which paired up a club member with representatives from the local wards. Congratulations to Windsor Croquet Club and Cr David McLachlan’s team who won the day with a 3-1 victory.Always a note of thanks to our club patron, Vicki Howard and her team for their great support and excellent play today. We’ll bring home the shield next year!
We closed out the festivities with a sausage sizzle and a celebratory toast to absent friends and a special note of remembrance for Ron Sinclair who’s initiative brought our club this event. May we celebrate many more years of friendship together.
